Adelaide Barista’s Choice: Heyvis Sagastume Honduras

We’re super excited to share something special with you – our newest filter coffee offering, Heyvis Sagastume, from Honduras. This isn’t just any coffee; it’s been picked as the top choice by our very own coffee community!

Back in November 2023, we teamed up with our cafe partner Leisurely Coffee in Adelaide, to host a fun event all about discovering and enjoying great coffee. With our buddies at Ally Coffee, we brought together a bunch of amazing coffees from around the world for attendees to try. It was a chance for the everyday person to get involved in the process of coffee selection.

After a lively session filled with lots of tasting and slurping, one coffee stood out from the rest – lowand behold, this delicious washed coffee from producer Heyvis Sagastume, from Honduras’s Santa Barbara department. This coffee stands out for it’s wonderfully clean and elegant profile, showcasing vibrant notes of raisins, mint, grapefruit, and dark chocolate.

This coffee suits a variety of filter brewing methods, but we’ve really been enjoying it via pour over on the Origami Dripper. We’ve been serving this coffee to our customers and brewing it among the team, and the love for it has been through the roof.

This event, and choosing Heyvis Sagastume as our new coffee, means a lot more than you might think. It’s all about bringing our coffee community together, listening to what you love, and making sure our coffee lineup reflects that. We’re here to celebrate great coffee, learn a bit along the way, and make sure everyone gets a say in what we serve.
