Zest Signature Drinks: Our Three Favourites With Recipes
When it comes to coffee, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy it, from single estate special reserve pour-over to classic Italian tiramisu. But at Zest, we love taking things up a notch with our signature creations. These aren’t just drinks; they’re curated experiences that showcase the artistry and versatility of coffee, crafted to delight both the palate and the senses. In this post, we’re excited to share three of our favourite signature coffee drinks, each with its own unique recipe. Perfect to make at home or to add a fresh twist to your café menu, these recipes bring a bit of Zest magic to any setting. Whether you’re a seasoned coffee enthusiast or simply curious, get ready to shake, stir, and savour!
The Zest Mont Blanc
Ingredients:
– Cold brew coffee with your favourite Zest single origin or blend
– Double cream (35% fat minimum)
– Condensed milk
– Agave syrup
– Vanilla extract
– Whole Nutmeg
– Grapefruit
– Ice
how to make it:
1. In a large bowl, add 300g double cream, 50g condensed milk, 10g vanilla extract, along with some nutmeg and grapefruit zest. (This is your Mont Blanc cream)
2. Using a mixer, whip it all up until it’s nice and fluffy. it should be super light and have a silky texture, just a tad runny.
3. Grab your favourite glass or tumbler, and add some ice.
4. Add 10 grams of agave syrup
5. Top up with cold brew until 3/4 full
6. Layer it with your Mont Blanc cream
7. Garnish with nutmeg and grapefruit zest
Berry Noir
Ingredients:
– Cold brew coffee with your favourite Zest single origin. (We recommend a naturally processed coffee)
– Blackberry
– Lime
– Maple Syrup
– Sage or Australian mint
– Ice
How to make it:
1. In your favourite glass or tumbler, add 4 blueberries
2. Add 10 grams of maple syrup
3. Add a generous squeeze of lime juice
4. With a spoon or muddler
5. Add plenty of ice
6. Top up with cold brew and give it a gentle stir
7. Garnish with a blueberry and some fresh sage or mint
African Espresso Margarita
Ingredients:
– Zest African Mailman blend
– Agave syrup
– Lime
– Lemon
– Sparkling or tonic water
– Ice
How to make it:
1. Add a single shot of African Mailman Coffee (approx. 20 grams)
2. Add 15 grams of Agave syrup
3. Add a generous squeeze of lime and lemon juice
4. Optional – add a shot of tequila
5. Mix all ingredients together well
6. Add ice
7. Top up with sparking or tonic water
8. Garnish with some lime
